Artist's Description
Whimsical small village on the side of a hill. Golden Paths, and paths of many colored stones all lead to the top of the hill, or to the bottom I guess, depending on which way you are headed. Die to the original dimensional recycled mixed media, my edges are ragged and irregular. I use this as part of the design, and on this giclee print, expose that rough edge on the surface of the print with a stark black background.
About Wayne Potrafka
I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards. Joining Fine Arts America has led me to pull out some of my old images, and to find a renewed interest and pleasure in the techniques and styles that I have passed through over the past few years.
