this image is from a series of pears that I have done over the past couple of years. There are 5 green pears in a purple rimmed bowl sitting on a mottled surface. The background is a mottled color, with a pattern of spirals. The spiral seems to show up in a lot of my work. The spiral has significant meaning in any of a number of cultures. However, they are in my work because I just like them!

I have been a producing artist for over 30 years, starting out as a potter/sculptor back in my native Michigan. I now paint, work with mixed media, and a bit of photography. . .and now and then, a little clay! I have become known primarily for my work in a dimensional, recycled mixed media w/acrylic, and all of my originals are also available as prints and as cards. Joining Fine Arts America has led me to pull out some of my old images, and to find a renewed interest and pleasure in the techniques and styles that I have passed through over the past few years.
