As you can see if you have looked through my site, for reasons unknown to me, I do paint a lot of pears. This pear, however, is VERY different from any of the others. I did this one while sitting in a hospital bed waiting for a doctor to come and do a test so that I could go home! He was very late , and I was very, shall we say , disgruntled! Thus, perhaps my only angry pear in the collection!

Thanks for your comments and congratulations on the sale. If you have looked at my site, you will see that this piece is pretty much a departure on from my normal work. I actually did this piece on a really lousy day spent in a hospital bed in the Hampton Va. V A Hospital. I did not know how long they were going to try to convince me to stay, so took my art supplies! Actually checked myself out late in the day when asking why they had not brought me a lunch or dinner, it became obvious that no one had told the staff that I was in the room! I only agreed to go in as one of the doctors that I really needed to confer with refused to see me if I was only seeing him as an outpatient. I saw him, conferred, got dressed..and left! The general feel of this piece is probably an indication that I was not a happy camper that day...........
